$874,095: That was the 2022 income for the California Family Council, which just put out a press release opposing the proposed nondiscrimination protections in Berkeley and Oakland. More US cities are ready to follow Berkeley and Oakland's lead, but groups like the CFC want to make sure that doesn't happen. Can you chip in to help us stand up to them?

“History and experience have shown children thrive best in nuclear father, mother, and child families," wrote the CFC's Vice President in their press release. "A civilization that rejects this biblical model for family life, is hell-bent on its own destruction."

Let's make something clear: research has shown that non-monogamous people come from all walks of life, regardless of faith or religion. This group's views don't reflect the majority of Christians, regardless of their relationship structure. But the CFC does represent a powerful lobby that's determined to impose a heternormative, mononormative norm on all of us. Let's not let that happen.

As our movement grows, those opposed to rights and acceptance for non-normative family and relationship structures are starting to take notice. And as their financial reporting shows, they are capable of mobilizing significant financial resources to impede our shared vision for greater inclusivity for diverse family and relationship structures in California and nationwide. We need your help to make sure that we can stand up to groups like the California Family Council. Can you chip in today to help us raise $8,740 – just 1% of CFC's 2022 income?
