OPEN is working with local advocates to bring non-discrimination protections to communities across Washington. We're building momentum for legislation that protects all families and relationships, regardless of their structure.

What We're Working Toward

We’re working closely with our partners at the Seattle Coalition for Family and Relationship Equity to build community power and gather support for these protections.

These protections cover diverse families and relationships including consensually non-monogamous relationships, multi-partner and multi-parent families, multi-generational households, chosen families, stepfamilies and blended families, single-parent households, and asexual and aromantic relationships.

Where we stand

Our current focus is on Seattle, Tacoma, and Olympia.

Find out how you can support efforts in Seattle!

In Olympia, council will introduce legislation on January 13th and plans to pass on February 24th!
